The simple guitar has carried me on countless interesting journeys, both around the physical world, and through the inner world of the mysterious workings of the human mind.

This album is a collection of small guitar adventures, with traditional and completely new sounds, most of which have not been heard on my many other albums.

I live in a world that connects touch and sound. I am always amazed by the process of emotion created though mere sound waves. This CD is meant to convey this phenomenon to the listener.

METRIC TIME is a collection of rootsy-trippy guitar sounds that Bob has not made before, including real-time sampling/looping with co-producer Daniel Thomas. It also features various acoustic Hawaiian guitars and a couple tracks with Bob's long-standing band members, The Theives of Sleep.
