Bob Brozman and Takashi Hirayasu have created quite a stir at the 2003 WOMADelaide festival with their unique brand of islander music inspired by Hirayasu's years of growing up in the Okinawa region of Japan. Lucky Oceans catches up with them backstage at the festival.

Bob Brozman is a master guitarist known around the world for his dabblings in diverse music styles. Over his twenty year career, his collaborations have exposed him to the musical traditions of over 13 countries.
At WOMADelaide 2003, Brozman is performing with Takashi Hirayasu, an Okinawa-born singer and player of the sanshin, a three-string bango that is made with snake-skin.
Brozman and Hirayasu dropped in on Lucky Oceans backstage at the Festival to play some music and talk about guitars, monster and shiny cities.
